Good Evening every one,
I hope everyone is having a good week/weekend. I have been a little under the weather myself. I want to touch base on how I feel about Narrative Medicine. I find this topic very interesting, and have never read into it before until this class. I have had my bad/worse experiences with doctors, and know that seeing multiple patients a day can be some what stressful, but I believe that patient care is the number one priority and each should be a different experience for the doctor. If documenting the experience helps the doctor in the future to better and help their patients then I do not see anything wrong with it. My twin brother attends Ohio medical school and some of the stories he share with my as his experiences (Confidentially) I see how no means being a doctor is a easy profession. However, showing your patients you care abouth them and their well being, and about them as a person not just an illness then this could make the job a whole lot easier. Dont you think?

Good evening, I found the text book very helpful in writing some of my papers and will use in the future, for future reference. I most like that the book goes into such detail in how to construct a paper such as creating a thesis, introduction, body of your paper, and the conclusion, but even before that how to brainstorm or have a good topic to write about something that interest you so that you can write plenty on the topic. If it is not your topic of choice than to research and create a brainstorm or and outline which is what I do for most of all of my papers and have found most helpful. An outline keeps structure of your paper that one wont be all over the place as I call it. Most students, health care professionals, professors do not like writing a paper however, I find that these steps make the process much easier.
Thankyou Tiffany Withers

My Name is Tiffany Withers and I am enrolled in the BSN program
at Jefferson College of Health and Science in Roanoke, Va. I graduated from
Heritage High School in 2005, in which later I attended Central Virginia
Community College in Lynchburg, Va where I worked on my general studies. I
enjoy reading, traveling, laughter, spending time with love ones, and shopping.
I have a four year old daughter named Malaysia. My daughter is one of the
reasons I decided to further my education, being a full- time mother and a full
time student can be very exhausting but she keeps me well on my toes. I want to
always be able to provide for her, and to be someone she can look up to and
know that anything is possible.
I decided to pursue nursing because I find nursing as a way of
helping individuals in their time of need and also as a way of giving back. My
grandmother, before she had five kids, always wanted to be a nurse but never
found the time. I have a twin brother who currently attends Ohio State Medical
School pursuing a career in medicine who always pushes me. I say he’s my
inspiration and my daughter my motivation. My aunt is a Nurse Practitioner in
the Virginia Beach area, so medicine has always been around my family. My goal
is to become a Neonatal Nurse or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner as I love
children and would love the opportunity to work with them. I see myself as a determined
individual who foresees myself accomplishing many tasks , and knowing that God
has blessed me whichever plan of nursing I decide to go into I would like to be
a blessing in someone else life. I want to love what I do, and do what I love.
